Its time for the 175th, Silver Jubilee Celebrations for the movie Sivaji. The movie stars the SuperStar Rajini Kanth. Since the shooting had started for the movie Sivaji, it has been the talk of the world.
The movie was directed by the most talented and most hardworking personality Shankar. He had been giveing a series of continuous successful movie, that include, Mudhalvan, Anniyan, 23rd Pulikesi, and so on. The movie had the best production house in the country the AVM as producer. This iteslf had made no doubts in the mind of the public, that the movie would create all sorts of records.
And it indeed did so. The movie Sivaji became the first Tamil film to be ranked in the UK Top 10. It had a stiff competition with the Hollywood movies Fantastic Four and OCean’s Thirteen. But it still jumped ahead of these films. Even without the benefit of dubbing, Sivaji still stand with entire power in the North India.
The music of the movie was pinned by the “Isay Puyal” A R. Rehman. Rehman’s songs have become the hottest soundtracks of the year 2007. Sivaji had the glamorous actress of the South Indian Cinema Shriya with Rajini Kanth for the first time. The comedian Vivek shared a major role in the movie.
Sivaji became the first Tanil Film to make use of the 4K resolution technology which is usually being used by the big budget Hollywood movies. Sivaji which had a massive budget of 60 crores, earned 1.7 crores within 4 days of its release and that too only in Chennai. This made the box-office stand awe-struck.
