The latest and the most prestigious news, is that the most talented actor and the emerging director of the Bollywood Industry, Aamir Khan would be bearing the Olympic Torch, in New Delhi, this year. Aamir would be donning the torchbearer for the Olympic Torch relay on April, 17, in New Delhi. Aamir would be joined five eminent personalities of India. To name, Kiran Bedi, Narayan Hegde, Ravi Singh and Atul Singh and Y Subhash Chandra Reddy, would be in the relay of the Olympic Torch.
The six persons, who are a part of the Coca Cola who are the presenting partner for the Beijing Olympics, Environment Champions Monday pledged to protect the environment and support the cause of water conservation. Aamir spoke to our correspondent, Thangaraj, about this that, the feeling is more special as it has given him the opportunity to raise awareness on environment. He added that, there is a huge scope of improvement. He doesn’t think that they don’t have the capability to do well. Perhaps what they don’t know how to harness the capability of the individual. We have diamonds but we need to polish them. We need adequate research and development in the sport and that alone can create a champion.
