Now it has become very fashion to receive the honorary doctorate from the universities to the celebrities as they feel that it is pride for them. But the Indian Super Star Amithab Bachchan has apparently rejected an honorary doctorate for him by an Australian University in protest again the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia.
The Queens University of Technology at Brisbane has honored Amithab Bachchan, the living legend of India for his contribution to the world of entertainment. The actor has accepted the title in earlier time. It was honored on the star in the July as a part of celebrations to remember the contribution of the actor.

The legend wrote on his blog, “I have been witnessing with great dismay and shock, the recent violent attacks on Indian students in Australia, on the electronic media the entire day. One of them, as is apparent from the coverage, lies in a hospital critically conditioned. There have been diplomatic overtures from both Governments – India complaining and expressing their concern and anger through the level of the Prime Minister and Australia expressing regret, but admitting purported racist overtones in the incident. This is, as many know, the fourth such incident in a month, not to mention several other cases that have been in prominence through the years.
Therefore, my conscience will never permit me to accept this decoration from a country that perpetrates such indignity to my fellow countrymen,” he added.

In relation to the so-called racial attacks on Indians in Australia: As a 58 year old Australian I can say that the human filth that attacks people traveling at night in Australia do so to all nationalities. It is a crime of convenience. When I travel on public transport, which is not often, I always carry a knife or yawara stick. If I am attacked or see another innocent traveler attacked I would simply cut their throat and leave the scene.
November 24, 2009, 11:55 pmI have traveled to other countries and, if there is a serious crime risk, I buy a knife. I am one Australian that has nothing against Indians…except when they beat us at cricket! You are welcome as far as I am concerned. If you feel it is too dangerous you are equally welcome to go elsewhere. Violence is not new, our ancient ancestors have been exhumed only to find arrow-heads in their rib-cages.
