Here comes the latest and the most shocking news of the evening. Amrita TV is one of the most popular Malayalam TV Channels, in and around India. It has been continuously making use of the copyright content of the T-Series, without getting the proper licence from the SCIL, i.e. Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. The company has been repeatedly pursuading them to opbtain the rights from the T-Series, properly. But seems that the TV Channel has never responded positively. With regard to this the SCIL has moved to the High Court of Delhi.
T-Series has been pursuading the Amrita TV to get the license for a long period of time, like all other satelliteTV Channelsfor making use of the SCILcontents in its program. Seems that a legal notice was also sent to the Amirita TV, by the T-Series, inspite of this the TV Channel has been continuing to infringe the copyright of T-Series and continued broadcast their contents without license.
On March 12, the Delhi High Court, issued a notice to Amrita TV, in the interim restrained Amrita TV and its officers and representatives from using literary and/or musical works of SCIL in which SCIL has a copyright. Amrita TV cannot use the content without obtaining license from SCIL.
