Jamnalal Bajaj Awards presented, the Jamnalal Bajaj Awards on 14th November. The award was presented to 4 persons including anAmerican Professor. These awards were presented for the excellence in social activities.
For the constructive work spread over 50 years under Sarvodaya movement, Yashpal Mittal from Pathankot in Punjab was awarded.
Pune’s Anand Karve’s ARTI an organization which is known for improved bio-gas plants, was given the award for application of science and technology for rural development.
Ashoka Gupta (95) was bestowed the honour for upliftment and welfare of women and children in West Bengal.
For promoting Gandhian Values outside India, Professor Michael Nagler from California, US was honoured.
Chairman of the Bajaj Foundation Rahul Bajaj was also present on the occassion.
