It was fun and the biggest enjoyment seen on the faces of the Tamil fans, after they saw the Tamil dubbed version of the movie Dhoom2, with the Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan sizzling on the screen. So it was time to see the same happiness and joy onto the face of the Tamil fans, once again. It was the release of the Ashutosh Gowarekar’s magnum opus and one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year, Jodha Akbar.
The original movie Jodha Akbar, was released three weeks back, has already bagged a huge and a whooping amount of Rs, 70 crores, with Chennai, itself earning the Rs. 60 lakhs. If a Bollywood film can earn such a huge amount in Chennai, then why can’t the Tamil dubbed version? So its for sure that the Tamil version of the Jodha Akbar would be a grand success. 60 prints of the Tamil version of Jodha have been released.
The Distribution Head of the South Zone, of the UTV Productions Henry said that, he believes they are superstars here also. They are well known across the country and well known in the south and we want to cash on that.
