Kuruvi is the most expecting movie in which Vijay and the veteran director Dharani joining hands after the film Gilli. The film starring Vijay, Trisha, Vivek, Malavika, Manivannan and Ashish Vidyarthi and the music composed by VidyaSagar. Dharani is meant for giving commercial films and his success behind him is his fast paced tempo movies which will make the viewers to sit the edge of the seat. More than this Kuruvi maiden production venture for Udhaynidhi Stalin’s Red Giants Movies. The story of the movie is bit secret which makes the fans and viewers anticipate more to watch the Kuruvi film. The film songs were already released and all the songs rocks.
Vijay gives his fans a great opening with a race, after overcoming many difficulties Vijay wins the race and gave the fans a great opening treat. Vijay is known for his dancing as usual his dance fits the music well.
The film starts when Vijay’s family being sent out of the home for not giving Rs.50lac debt made by his father Manivannan to a money lender. After knowing that Vijay’s father is yet to receive Rs.50lac from Gocha(Suman) Malaysian. Vijay and Vivek plans to fly Malaysia due to financial crisis both of them fly as “Kuruvi” is an agent who carry and bring back goods. After knowing that Gocha is Goon decided to steal the diamond from his home and that time Vijay met Trisha (Gocha’s sister). Trisha got in love with Kuruvi at first sight. After getting Diamond Vijay returns to Chennai and luckily knows where his father is?
Suman and Ashish Vidyarthi were business partners and they have been running the quarry business in which Vijay’s dad was a contractor. Manivannan denied continuing work at Cuddapah Andhra Pradesh after knowing the Diamonds which are found in SouthAfrica is located at the same place. Both the partners make Vijay’s dad and his labors as slaves.
There is lot of stunts and actions placing the scenes and the film looks blood thirsty at one point of time. Vijay scales from high building, bowing down the bullets and some scenes which are abnormal for the humans are placed in the film. The producer spends a lot of money in sets and the fight in the Malaysian Bar and the background score were excellent. The movie sags now and then which slows the tempo of the film. Vijay play his part well while dancing, fighting and romancing. As I said the film misses its tempo for a commercial film the tempo is must but it lacks in Kuruvi. Those who want to watch Gilli like movie stay away from “Kuruvi”.

The movie is full of comercial. The first half comedy and second half only action. Second half more scenes copied in telugu movie chatrapathi. Songs all not bad. Really very good dance moments of first intro song(dharna) & climax song(yamma yamma). Vijay proved again his dance moments, and also did a very good job for dance master prem rakshith after ATM (ella pugazum). Vijay can do some leg moments, audience all noticed that prem rakshith only choreographed this song.Totally this movie is a average summer entertainment.
