Sachin Tendulkar!

The Board of Selectors of the BCCI had a very busy days while selecting the new captain for the One Day Internationals, after Rahul Dravid dropped from the captaincy in both forms of the game. Then later the T20 captain MS Dhoni was made the captain of India.

Now the BCCI and the selectors have joined once again for the selection of the New Test Captain for India. Sachin Ttendulkar, the little master was the No. 1 Contender for the Captaincy, but he has refused the offer. He said that he does not feel right at the moment about the offer.

A source said that, the BCCI are going to opt MS Dhoni as the Test Captain also, who has played only 20 Test Matches. The former Indian Coach Greg Chappel said that Dhoni is doing his apprenticeship in the limited-over forms of the game. Probably another 12 months or more he would be perhaps ready for all three of them. A tour of Australia behind him will finish him off nicely as a cricketer and as a potential leader.

The former Indian Cricket Player, Ravi Shastri said that, it will put him under a lot of pressure. In future he may do it but not at this moment. He has a lot of talent he feels that he is not ready for this responsibility now.

The selectors are scheduled to meet at Mohali on November 8 to announce the team for subsequent one-day internationals in the current series against Pakistan, and also pick a Test captain.
