You would have seen such type of promotion only during the elections of the Rajya Sabha or the Lok Sabha. But for sure it would have never happened in the history of Indian Cinema, rather to say, the World Cinema. The promotion of the upcoming movie HALLA BOL would be on the streets.
You would have seen the actors of the movies, conducting conferences, joining certain celebrity shows. Instead of these measures of promotion, the actors of the movie, Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan and Pankaj Kaour are going onto the streets, to promote their movie Halla Bol. During the promotion, the actors are set to also play for short skits, for all classes of people.
All the play-skits would be based on the social problem, that include, eve-teasing, corruption, municipal problems, or proper healthcare for the poor. All the play-skits are written by Om Katare, a well known theatre personality. These plays would enacted at the main streets of the country, to name Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi.
This new idea for promotion was adopted on the idea provide by the producer Abdul Sami Siddiqui during the making of the movie. In a scene the actors, Ajay and Pankaj go on to play some skit onto the streets, on several social problems. So the same method was adopted by the producer for promotion also.
The movie is directed by Rajkumar Santhoshi and is allset to hit the screens on Januray 11th, 2008.
