Women Arrested At Sabarimala!
A women, of age 30 was arrested at the entrance at the holy temple of Lord Ayyappa, Shabarimala, when she tried to enter the temple. Women within 10-50 years of are baned from entering into the temple.

The women identified herself, as Shelvi from Puducherry, who reached up to the shrine, and also climbed the 18-steps of the shrine, where the police identified and held her.

Shelvi, was later taken to investigation by the Kerala Ladies Police at the Pamba, and was taken into custody. She was taken into custody for violating the ban on entry of women between 10 and 50 years, into the temple.

Shelvi was already before the climbing the mountain, detained by the police officials, but by breaking the security walls, she escaped and reached near the shrine, and was identified by a news photographer, and he alerted the police.

The ban on women of age group between 10-50 entering Sabarimala temple made a huge headlines recently when Kannada film actress Jaymala claimed that she had visited the temple about 21 years back, sparking a raging controversy.
